Based on recommendations we found here before our trip we did a total of four tours in Rome. Two were with Sarah and Ettore with Antiqua Tours. We found references to both Sarah and Antiqua here on the helpline, then learned when we emailed Sarah that they have formed Antiqua Tours. Sarah led our ancient Rome tour and was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of what we saw. Four tour members were late, and she did not hold us up to wait for them, even though they joined us late. We did the wine tour the same evening with Ettore and were pleased that he did the tour, even though we were the only ones who had signed up. It was great fun to spend the evening with him and go to a couple of wine bars we never would have found on our own. Due to our schedule we also did two tours with Context Tours in Rome, the tour of the Borghese Gallery and the Friday evening tour of Musei Vaticani. The Pinocoteca was not open in the evening which you might want to know, but we were happy with what we saw. Both of our guides were very knowledgeable and personable and passionate about what they showed us. We would recommend both companies for excellent tours.
