Looking for the best tours in Venice, Florence and Rome. Also looking for day trip from Rome to Pompeii, Naples and Capri. Want to do a cooking class in Rome. Will be in mid September for myself and husband.
It looks to me the Walks of Italy has you pretty much covered, except for Capri. They offer a selection of tours in each city you mentioned, cooking classes , and a tour from Rome to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. I believe you would be hard pressed to visit Naples, Pompeii, and Capri in one day, but others here might have more insight into that. They give a 10%discount to Rick Steves readers, and I think you might get a discount for booking multiple tours with them. They have a US number on their website.
Great thanks! Yes I was thinking if we did a day tour to Pompeii and the coast in one day and then did Naples and Capri a different day. Any insight to just take the train to Naples ourself and then find a tour once we get there?
For a great cooking class: we had a fantastic experience with Chef Andrea Consoli at cookingclassesinrome.com in the Trastevere neighborhood. Location was very easy to reach, hopping a tram; our hotel was near the Pantheon.

You can combine Naples and Pompeii in a day. You can go with Walks of Italy or on your own. If on your own, go to Pompeii when it opens and ideally have a private guide. Gaetano Manfredi (rec by Rick Steves) is the best! After the tour, head to Naples for a quick self-tour using the one in the Rick Steves guide. Capri will take you most of a day with the ferry to-and-from. In fact from Rome, Capri would be a challenging day. It is more easily done from Sorrento as a base. If you have to make a choice, skip Capri.
