Tours in Fruili

Hi, Giangilberto from Milan here, what kind of tours are you looking for?
Friuli is such a beautifull region, one that I love most in Italy, full of things to see and do, from the seaside to amazing mountains like Carso zone, full of history, are territories were the world war 1 was taken.

We spent a few days in Friuli in 2024 as part of a longer trip in Slovenia. With few crowds, great food and wine, and a ton of history, we will definitely return for a longer stay.

Depending on the type of tour you are looking for, one of these recommendations could work for you.

We started with Audrey De Monte of Travels with Audrey. However, she offers only multi-day tours, and we were looking for a one-day tour. Audrey recommended Elbrich Bos of Explore Friuli. Unfortunately, after we finally decided on the dates, Elbrich was booked.

Elbrich then recommended Sonia Cos of Discover Friuli. We spent a wonderful day with Sonia seeing Gorizia and Udine, and learned a ton of history and cultural information. Plus she was a pleasure to spend the day with, and I highly recommend her. Other locations we considered touring were Spilimbergo and the mosaic school, Pordenone, and San Daniele.

Thanks for the info. My focus is food and wine and history. This is one area I haven’t explored much. Love Slovenia food and wine and that’s close by for afterwards.
