We will be arriving in Naples via cruiseship for 1 day and wonder what suggestions you may have to see either Capri or Sorrento without booking through the cruiseship.

- Get off your cruise ship
- Walk 500 yards to Molo Beverello
- Take a hydrofoil to Capri or Sorrento
- Return to Molo Beverello later in the day by hydrofoil
- Walk 500 yards back to your cruise ship
- Re-board your cruise ship

Hi Daniel - GAC has it right - Plus, Once you arrive in Sorrento and have had a look around in the old town section which is very nice , you guys can hop on The Sita Bus in the central square and , in about 30 minutes be in Positano , after a very exciting bus ride - If you go , sit on the right side of the bus.
There is plenty of time during the cruise stop to do both - I've done it many times.

Once again, Greg guides you wrong.
The scheduled bus trip from Sorrento to Positano is 45 minutes - both ways.
And that's when the bus is on schedule.
Count on at least a hour both ways because of the congestion of the coastal highway.
And please don't rely on him for advice on Capri..
