Tours from Cruise Ship Terminals - Civitavecchia (Rome), Naples, Livorno

Our cruise ship will dock at Civitavecchia, Naples and Livorno in late May 2018.

I am looking for a reliable, affordable tour company that offers one day tours departing directly from the cruise ship terminals for each of these locations.

In Rome, I would like inside tours of the Vatican and the Colosseum. From Naples, I would like to visit Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri. From Livorno, I would like to visit both Florence and Pisa.

Any suggestions of a tour company and other sites I should be visiting would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

How many days do you have for Naples? If one day, pick one of the three choices.

You are dealing with some distances that limit what you can do. Pompeii, Sorrento, and Capri is just too spread out to handle in one day. Second, I would only do Capri from a ship excursion. It is about an hour by ferry to Capri and it is very possible that the return by sea can be delayed by weather. Civits... is also about an hour from Rome via train. I would take a train into Rome and do both on your own via taxi and advance ticket sales. Or google each location and see what is offered.

Check this tour from the Naples port.

Mondo tours Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast.

Rome you might pick either the Vatican or the Colosseum. It could be done on your own using prepurchased skip the line tickets and a taxi to the site and back.

From the port of Livorno, walk to the bus, take the Lam Blu or the #105 to Livorno Centrale, then a train to either Florence or Pisa. You really don't have time to do both. This trip is about 2 hrs 20m. With Pisa being much shorter. These are all regional trains which means you have to time stamp the tickets.

Just keep in mind to allow plenty of time to return to your ship. If you're not on an onboard excursion they will leave without you.
