Tours/Drivers for Wine tasting near Montepulciano

Hi,

My fiance and I will be staying in Montepulciano for 5 night (September 29th - October 3rd). We will be on our honeymoon and would like to spend at least one and perhaps two days exploring wineries and drinking wine. We will have a car, but do not want to be driving. Ideally we would like to have a private driver/tour guide take us to a wineries and other beautful sites nearby. I am aware that there are lots of great places in Montepulciano to taste the wine, but we really enjoying be at the wineries, seeing how each producer is set up, and meeting the people who make the wine. Also, when we are there, it will be very close to harvest/crush, so being at a winery will be extra-special. We definitely want to explore the Brunello wineries near Montalcino.

Can anyone suggest a tour guide or driver that is reasonable? I have been seeing some online that are in the $350/person range. We would prefer to spend no more than $500/day total for a driver. Ideally much less. We are completely opposed to doing a group tour, but it would need to be small (less than 8 people or so). Since we have a car, we could even just hire a person to drive our car around for the day if thats possible. We would need to be picked up and dropped off in Montepulciano. Thanks in advance for your help.

A few years ago, on our second trip to Tuscany, we hired Andrea Natali. http://www.tuscanyexperiencetours.com/en/ with reviews here https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g187895-d8774789-Reviews-Tuscany_Experience_Tours-Florence_Tuscany.html#REVIEWS . We spent some time emailing to get our wishes and reality in synch. He picked us up at the agriturismo we stayed in just outside Sienna and we had a great day; two winery tours (both small but fabulous), a lot of spots we wanted to see, lunch in Montalcino, just a fab all day trip .. with no daft driving by us. I can't remember reliably what it cost, but he did work on price with us a little. We are not rich but we sure did feel it was a great experience and terrific value for money.

In my Italy trip last year, we had a wonderful driver take us from Florence to Sam Gigimignano, to a food/wine tasting at a vineyard and Siena for the day. I'm not sure what we paid but they offer a bunch of tours around the Tuscany area. They are called Holiday Planners, url: www.holidayplanners.it, Tel: 0575 837103. Our driver was Matteo Suti and he was great and had plenty to tell us about the Etruscans and the Chianti regions that we passed through.
