Tours by Locals - Amalfi Coast

Hi we are going to be in Sorrento in mid April and thought about doing a private tour of the Amalfi Coast. Does anyone have experience using Tours by Locals? I reached out to someone who had positive reviews, and he told me he was available that day but his calendar wasn't open on the site so he suggested I just choose another day but he'll make sure its the day I want. Feels a bit weird to do that. His other recommendation was to book his friend who is also on the site but he not his friend would be the one to show us the tour. It's just starting to make me wonder. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have used Tours By Locals several times and it worked great, but what you are describing would make me suspicious, too. I'd choose someone without the "workarounds," or ask him to contact TbL and get the issue corrected so you can confirm your date.
Does he have any reviews on the site? I'd not book someone unless they had a number of positive reviews.
