My husband and I will be touring Tuscany in September. We thought of staying 3 days in the Chianti region at Castello diVerrazzano in Greve then travel more south staying someplace South of Siena for another 3 days. Has anyone stayed at that Castle? Any suggestions for South of Siena?

Hi Beth - We went to Castello di Verrazzano for a day for the wine tour and LOVED IT THERE! It was the highlight of our entire trip in Italy. I'm not sure about the accommodations for staying there. But we thought it was beautiful! I would definitely recommend their Wine tour. It was perfect. We did the lunch option which was delicious (and huge). We each got a huge plate of meats and cheeses with the wine. Plus they had bread with olive oil drizzled on top. We sampled 4 wines, plus a dessert wine, and Balsamic vinaigrette. It was all so delicious. The people that worked there were so kind and had a sense of humor too. We even tried to tip our guide for the tour and he couldn't accept it. Very honest people and the place and location is exactly what you would picture Tuscany looking like.
