Touring the Appian Way, Catacombs, & Aqueduct Park w/out a Tour

We only have availability mid afternoon on one of our days in Rome to tour the ancient sites outside of Rome, so a tour company is out. This is what I want to do and I don't know how to make all of it happen. We'll taxi out to our first stop. How would you get to the other sites? And if I have the Taxi App, can I call a Taxi to get back to our hotel in Rome from this area? We'd be leaving the hotel around 3:30pm and returning whenever.

  1. San Callisto Catacombs (2-5pm; last tour at 5)
  2. Circus Maximus
  3. Mausolem of Cecilia Metella (open until 7:15)
  4. Appian Way walk (visit the Appia Antica Cafe)
  5. Claudian Aqueduct

Aside from the aqueducts, we've essentially done similar (S. Sebastiano catacombs instead of Callisto, + Capo di Bove + the circus and some other small things) but we did it all on foot so can't help with the cabs. I can promise you that you won't everything on your list done if you don't start until after 3:30.

The circus out there is Maxentius (Circo di Massenzio) and not Maximus, which is close to the Colosseum/Palatine. I believe it closes at 4:00 (last admission at 3:30) and is closed on Mondays.
