Our cruise gets into Sibenik Croatia at noon, but stays later into the evening. We signed up for an excursion to the town of Skradin and the Skradinski Buk waterfalls in the Kryka national park. We won't return till 4:45. Our other option is just doing a town walking tour in Sibenik and then stay there on our own
It seems we'll have some time after the excursion but it will be 5pm and it'll be Oct 6th, so only a couple more hours of ligt.
The only right answer to this question is which YOU want to do. But if it were me, I would go to Krka. However that might also depend on where else you are going, as well as your interests. I like some nature mixed with my towns. You might not. I might suggest watching some videos and see which appeals.
Yes we typically like the outdoors. But on the cruises your only in one place for a day. Just don't want to miss out on the local culture. But we may be able to explore for a couple of hours afterwards. Just wasn't sure where on the scale of spectacular these falls are.
Where else in Croatia will you visit? I'd look at the overall balance. You can google Krka to see images of the falls. I'd want plenty of sunshine to appreciate the colors (I have visited Plitvice but not Krka but they have certain similarities).
We will only be in Sibenik for 1 day. The rest of the cruise goes to ports around italy. Chioggia Italy (venice) which were doing 4 days on our own, Sibenik Croatia, Bari Italy, Crotone Italy, Messina Italy, ending in Citaveccia we'll do 5 days in Rome on our own.
