Has anyone completed a guided tour of the forum. We went to the colosseum and forum this year and used Rick’s audio guide. We will be back in Rome next year for a day before we leave on our cruise. We did not get as much out of the forum as we had hoped for. We do not need to return to the coliseum just the forum. Any suggestions for guided tours of the forum? There are 2 of us and we would like to book a tour of the forum that is not too big of a group. Thanks in advance for your help.

A private tour is the way to go. The guide will tailor a tour to your interests and duration. I suggest 2 to 3 hours for a good tour of the Forum and Palatine Hill. It might seem like a splurge but really worthwhile as you won’t need headsets or to put up with a group’s pace.
