Your FIRST step should be to read the on-line shore excursion descriptions from your cruise company......not only for the Rome port, but all the others you posted, too Once you decide what is of interest to you, if for some reason you are not interested in taking the tours thru the cruise company, then you might want to check postings on cruisecritic.com or post an inquiry there for independent operators of tours. Once you know what you want to do/see in each port, then folks who help on this site may be able to recommend a specific tour guide/company. But, at this point, most readers of your postings probably find your inquiries are too broad. You'll usually find it is not unusual for a cruise ship to offer maybe 15-20 (or more) different tour options at each port. If you are focused in your inquiry, this helpline will give you great feedback and guidance.

Elena, if you take your question to cruisecritic.com you may get the information you need. Click onto ports (of call) and look for Rome or Civitavecchia ... there will be suggestions of where to go other than the city of Rome. It is a useful website for cruise passengers.

Been through Civit.. off cruises ships a number of times. I am not aware of any standard, pre-arrangedd tour starting in Civit.. There are a number of things that you can do on your own in the area provided it is not Monday.
