Day trip to Tuscany. . . . . .

We will be in Florence for a few days and would like to book a day tour into Tuscany and the surrounding area. Any recommendations as to who to book with or a particular tour you enjoyed on trip advisor or another sight. Thanks

We currently have a tour booked with Tours by Roberto and need more people to make it a go. So if you will be in Florence on October 30th, it would be great if you could join!

If you stay in Florence you will be in Tuscany already.
Tuscany is not a town, it’s a region the size of Massachusetts and Rhode Island combined, of which Florence is the capital city. You need to determine which area of Tuscany you would like to focus on.
There are lots of excursions available, varying in distance and duration. One should base the choice on your particular interests first, there are several options. then you can Google specific tours. Some people are interested in wine tasting and go to Chianti area, others are interested in history or small towns and visit Siena or the towns in its province.

We did a day tour from Florence that began at the train station. English speaking Italian gal who was very knowledgable. We went to Siena and enjoyed a walking tour from a local. Then off to a winery for a tour of the farm, lunch and wine. After lunch they took us to San Giminagno and we had the best gelato, wandered on our own and even purchased a beautiful handmade olive oil and vinegar set. Next was Pisa...I am happy we went and saw it, but after having to walk to the site through what felt like an Arab bazaar, it was less exciting. The people on the tour were fabulous too and I regret not getting emails or phone numbers to keep in touch. And BTW, we NEVER do tours, so this was an unexpected pleasure.
