We have a one-day stop at Civitevecchia and would like to take a day tour to Tarquinia. Can anyone recommend a good tour guide?

I don't know for sure but if you check the archeological zone's website, they may have guides for hire onsite. The guides would be licensed by the state. Check for languages for tours.
