I am part of a party of four people who will be in Palermo, Sicily the first week of July. Does anyone have a suggested tour guide that can give us one day as an introduction to the city of Palermo? Many thanks.

Try for Marco with StreetEats (or similar name). He specializes in Palermo's food, is a native & a great guy, speaks terrific English, & doubtless could give you an excellent day. He did understudy work with my Sicily guide on a recent Overseas Adventure Travel tour, & OAT is picky about their staff. Highly recommended.

I can second that opinion of Marco Romeo. He runs a company called StreatPalermo who runs 4 hour tours of Palermo's fabulous street food (in addition to the local historical sites), as well a being an authorized licensed tour guide.
