Arriving in Livorno on a cruise ship and would like to take a day trip to Tuscany/Wine country. Does anyone have a recommendation? My husband does not want to rent a car.
Per Rick's book for Florence & Tuscany (2009), he recommends an American named Annie Adair, who is "an excellent private guide and can oragnize wine or cheese farm tours."

Good luck!
Thank you Nanci! I will look her up and give her an email!
Ciao!
Attempted to email guide and never got a reply.
Anyone else have any thoughts or suggestions?
Thank you!
BJ,
I heard from Annie. Not sure "when" your trip is but she's booked solid from July 12-22. She gave me a name of another tour guide but its at home. I will email that info to you later today or tomorrow.

BJ,
Try this email address for a Tuscan guide: Her name is Sophie Chamberlain and her email is [email protected]
Good luck!
In May I scheduled a private tour with Gianni of Tours around Tuscany. He was a great guy/guide, we had a delightful day. He picked us up in Siena.

I used Roberto with Roberto's Tours last summer and he was great. He is based in Siena but will meet you wherever. He took us to an Etruscan tomb, a tiny medieval village now inhabited by 25 people, a fabulous winery, and a trattoria over looking the Tuscan countryside. Our meal was awesome. He was recommended in Rick's 2008 Italy book. You can find him on the web using Roberto's tours.
