Tour Guide for Naples, Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Phlegraean Fields

We started planning for a guide in Pompeii, contacting Giuseppina Esposito, whom Rick recommended. In corresponding with her, we were impressed enough to book three days with her. She greeted us with, "We are now friends". The days flew by, filled with sights in the Phlegrean Fields west of Naples, the Spaccanapoli district in Naples, the National Archeological Museum (Pompeii rooms), then Pompeii and Herculaneum. She stepped us past the lines, explained what we were seeing, allowed us to take as much time as we wanted to explore side interests, and even helped us order lunches at local stores and restaurants. Her extenstive knowledge of the history of this region exceeded our expectations. By the end of three days, we were much better friends. We have many more places on our itinerary for future travels.

I am just amused that I never connected "Campi Flegrei" with the Phlegraean fields.......its just fun to say!

Just how I lived in Italy for 2 months before I realized that Firenze=Florence :)
