I'm looking for a tour group for the Vatican and the Colosseum. I arrive on a Tue morning around 7:30 from U.S.. I will leave on Thur morning for Florence. I am looking at the tours listed in Rick Steves book. Has anyone used one of these groups or do you have another suggestion? Thanks

Hi there-
I booked 2 walking tours of Rome with Enjoy Rome, which I got from Rick's book. One tour covers all of the ancient ruins (Colosseum, Pantheon, etc) and the other tour is for the Vatican & St. Peter's. They both run about 3 hrs and cost about 25 Euros.

Angel tours also do these two tours. I did the Vatican one with them last year and really enjoyed it. The also do one of the Colosseum. They have a 2 hour evening tour starting at 6pm that takes in the Trevi fountain, Pantheon and other sights which would give you a good overview of Rome considering your time is quite short. There is also a free tour of the Pantheon
