My family of four contemplating taking the train from CT to Torino for one night then moving on into France by train. Our return flight departs from Paris. I'm looking for validation that we'll enjoy one night and a day in Torino before heading to France. I have not seen any posts about this area. We will be traveling only on trains, by foot, or busses. Thanks

We did the same thing on our last trip. In my opinion Torino is highly underrated. We stayed in a business hotel near the train station and about all we had time for was a dinner out but it was an amazing experience. We had pizza and great conversation with a local guy who though he spoke little English was really excited to communicate. We then wandered through a beautiful square. There is a lot more there. I say go! It's off the tourist trail and so doesn't feel so much like a theme park as many of big city sight.
