Torino to Chammonix/Mt Blanc

Buon Giorno!
We are arriving in Torino 21 April a.m. and wish to go to Chammonix that day- I cannot figure out the times and routes as they seem to change on that day or the day before, and would we take a train or bus, and from where? do we have to go into torino or can we leave from the airport? Thank you!

The quickest (although not quick) way would be to take the SAVDA bus directly from the airport to AOSTA at 9:35 A.M. then the bus from AOSTA to Chamonix at 13:35 getting into Chamonix at 15:55. Chamonix is not an easy place to get to. If you miss the SAVDA bus to AOSTA, you could go down town and catch a train to AOSTA a bus to Martigny and then the local train to Chamonix. A long day either way.

I tried the website for Savda and the translator doesn't seem to work for all of it- I cannot determine if other busses leave from the airport. I e-mailed them the question but the e-mail did not go thru- we want to go because of Rick's reccomendations about it- we are not skiers, we just like mountains- Yikes! I expect that the sights getting there would be pretty and part of the trip even if it is a long day-

The only other bus from the airport to AOSTA at 22:15. Aosta is surronded by the Italian Alps, you could take a bus to PORTA SUSA station in Torino and take a bus or train from there to AOSTA and then take a bus the next day through MT Blanc to Chamonix (2 buses a day on 4-22, 7:45 and 13:35. Or from Aosta to Martigny and then a scenic train ride to Chamonix.
