To see Otzi from Venice as a day trip. Workable?

We will be in Venice and I want to go to see Otzi. Looking at fome information, it looks like we may have to make a couple of transfers. Is this a feasible day trip?\

Are you referring to Otzi the Iceman, at the museum in Bolzano? If so, it looks like a minimum of 6 hours round trip on the train - I wouldn't call that a feasible day trip.

It will cost a minimum of 30 euro per person and take over 3 hours each way. Whether that is feasible or not is up to you. There are other attractions in Bolzano while you are there, like take a cable car up above the city for the view and walks. Maybe stop in Verona for a few hours on the way back as you will need to change trains there.

Otzi is my BFF, but why this bucket list approach? Go to Bolzano and stay and enjoy the German / Italian mix pf language, food, and culture. Enjoy the valley / mountain atmosphere. Enjoy nearby Trentino and have an experience that is unique.

This would be a very long day. Consider spending a night in Verona or Bolzano if there are other things you'd like to see in the area.
