If possible, fly into the Pisa airport from Spain. It's probably closest to CT and you can easily catch a train to La Spezia or another of the CT towns.

Amanda, I think you are asking about flying from Spain to and airport so you can go to CT. Milano Malpensa will have numerous flights as it is a major airport and you can get a transfer bus at Malpensa to the S. Centrale where you will take a train to CT (via Genoa and then to your CT location). You may also be able to get a flight into Pisa and then take the train to La Spezia and the CT. The Pisa route may be closer, but the flights to Milan may be more frequent and better costs. Just do a little research. Buona Fortuna!!!

Genoa is probably the closest. There is a flight from Madrid once a day. This is what we are doing in a couple of weeks time. We fly Iberia from Madrid at 7.30pm, 2 hour flight. Odd time but direct flight.
