Visiting Rome in March. Someone suggested taking a side trip out to Tivoli. Has anyone done this? Is it worth the time?

Yes, I've done it many times. Absolutely worth the trip. There are 100 fountains and a Villa. Not far from Rome. Hopefully the weather in good enough in March!!

We took a side trip to Tivoli and am thrilled we did! We had lunch at the historic and lovely Sibilla restaurant (expensive, though) and then visited Villa d'Este. It was a wonderful and easy trip to take out of Rome.
