My husband and I are visiting Rome in April. Is Tivoli worth a day trip? If so, what should we see? Thanks for any input.
It depends on how many times you have been to Rome and how much time you have there.
Tivoli is worth it, beautiful cascading fountains are a highlight.
Thanks. We have been there one time before, and we have over a week there.
April is a perfect time to go! So ,I h will be in bloom and not yet hot. Do make sure it is a sunny day.
Went to Tivoli directly from FCO and it was a nice place to recover from the flight. The fountains were beautiful and it was raining which made it seem even more like a water wonderland.
It’s lovely, an easy day trip and possibly a welcome change from the larger crowds in Rome. We have ordered our Villa d’Este tickets for one of our 3 full days in Rome.
We combined Tivoli and Hadrian’s Villa and a nice lunch from Rome by bus as RS outlined. Our visit was after a few previous trips to Rome. It was easy and very nice day.
