I'm looking to take the Bernina express from Chur to Tirano in July. However, when I go to look up train times and schedules to get from Tirano to Milan (my ending point), I continue to get a message that they are unable to find any schedules for those parameters. Is something happening with the train? When I look up timetables on google maps for the current day (April) I see trains leaving every hour. Does anyone have any experience taking the train from Tirano to Milan? Thanks!

Yes the summer schedule is not out yet. Look for the complete schedule around the 2nd Saturday in June.

Also, you are changing train companies, from the SBB to the Italian trains. The TIRANO stations are across the plaza from each other, but you might already know this. Enjoy this spectacular train ride, it remains one of the highlights of my travel memories.

Great! That seems better than what I've been reading that this train line goes under construction in the summer months? If so, will there be replacement buses?

Where did you read that? Last year there was a construction closure, but have not heard about this year.
The line between Milan and Brig, Switzerland does have a construction project scheduled.

Great! I read that mostly on forums from 2023, but I wasn't sure if that was specific to that year, or a yearly closure that they do for maintenance. I chatted with a chat bot on the Trenitalia website, and it said that the summer schedule would be posted in June as well. So I'm hoping all this worry is for nothing. Thanks!
