Tirano to Bergamo

Feeling very overwhelmed & need some help.

On June 18th, my husband and I will arrive in Tirano after getting off the Bernina Express. We then need to get from Tirano to Bergamo. When I look up tickets, it has us taking a bus, two trains and a bus to get there. This is fine but what I'm trying to understand is...is the bus (TRENORD 829A) right there at the rail station? Is it a far walk?

If anyone has done this trip before, I would really appreciate the help!

If it is a train replacement bus, it should be right at the station.

As I read the schedule, you have a voice between 2?or 3 changes, but both start with the 829A bus to Colico. As Sam explained this is a replacement for train service and it will be waiting at the station.

Ok awesome!! Thank you. We are planning a 30 day trip to Europe and for some reason this is the day that is throwing me off. It goes from Tirano to Colic, Colic to Lecco (Regional 2829), Lecco to St. Peter's Bridge (Regional 10733) and then from there to Bergamo on bus.

I assume it will be the same way at the end of my travel? Our last change is from Ponte S. Piero (St. Peter's Bridge) to Bergamo and there is says we go from the Regional 10733 to Bus 1733A. That bus will also be at the rail way station?

In Bergamo, we're just going to the airport to get our rental car to then drive to Bolzano. I bought the train ticket to Bergamo and it looks like from the bus station, we'll have to take another 10 minute bus ride to the airport?

Short trip from train station to airport. Which route are you planning to Bergamo? If you are planning lakeside drives on either Iseo or Garda keep in mind that there will be heavy traffic and very slow moving at times.

Marc,

We're taking a train/bus combination from Tirano to Bergamo so we won't do any driving to Bergamo.

Unless you were talking about the drive to Bolzano? If so, I'm pretty sure we're just going to put into Google Maps the route to take us to our hotel that first night so whatever is most direct. From Bolzano, we're doing day trips for like 5 days.
