Timing flight connection in Rome

I'll be flying from Florence to da Vinci on a Monday morning in early November. My flight arrives at 8:25 AM i n Rome and I have a flight home to Atlanta leaving at 11:00 AM. Given that I'll already be in the teminal and won't have as many security checkpoints is 2 1/2 hours between flights enough time?

Thanks in advance.

You should have no problem making the connection. FCO is not the most efficient airport around, but you can certainly make that flight.
What's always been amusing is all the 6:00-7:00 a.m. flights out of FCO. People have to get up at 3:00 a.m. and have a taxi carry them to the airport. Then they'll fly to Paris or another European gateway airport where they sit around until mid-day for their international flight home. It would have just been easier to fly out of Rome mid-day.

I'll assume that you booked this as one ticket, such as through code-share partners Delta & KLM, so that luggage will be checked through and the same company is responsible to get you home, right? If the first flight were a separate ticket on an loner budget airline, then you wouldn't have those protections.

Is it one or two tickets? That makes a big difference.
