Timed entry tickets for St Peter's Basilica

Does anyone know if there is a separate line to enter the Basilica with timed entry tickets? I don't want to end up missing my time slot due to getting in a wrong line. Also, any idea how much time in advance I need to be there to avoid missing my entry slot? We are going on Tuesday the 6th at noon. Would an hour ahead be sufficient? thanks!!

When you're standing at the back of the queues on Via di Porta Angelica, the priority queue is all the way to the right, up against the wall. It looks like it's an access walkway for the vendor stalls against the wall, but it's actually the queue. If in doubt, ask one of the workers, they wear yellow or green vests.

I went in March and it took basically zero minutes (the nun in front of me at the xray machine struggled with her jacket but literally that was the only time I stopped walking). Now that the secret about the advanced booking is out and it's getting into high season, it'll take longer. IIRC, the website recommends 30-45 minutes to get through security. Unless you've booked a dome climb, I wouldn't worry too much about missing your entry slot; there's no ticket, so the only check is at the security queue.
