Hi there! I am travelling to Florence in July with my family and have a question re. tickets for the Accademia and Duomo. Do you recommend getting the earliest tickets for each (i.e 8.15am) and visiting on two separate days OR would it work to visit David at 8.15 and then Duomo (with climb) afterwards at 9 or 9.45? I am not sure how much time to leave in-between if we do back to back, and are aware the later we go the busier it will be!
Sounds like fun. It looks like it's a short walk between the two - link . It might be somewhat preference if you'd like to do both in the same day. From what I've seen there are quite a few sculptures there so it might depend on how much time you'd like there - link . I don't think that Accademia limits the number of folks like the Uffizi does so early might be good for that. Cheers.
You can certainly do both but 45 minutes isn't enough for the Accademia and to get to the Duomo. There is more than the David to see and you can see some other works by Michelangelo. Also it will be HOT inside museums when they are crowded so the earlier the better. One July I became overheated in the Uffizi and had to get into the hall. The museum of the Duomo is wonderful also!
