I land at 1:45 do you think my FI and I will be able to make it to the a 3:45 train headed for CT.

I would think that is pretty tight.
The Pisa Airport is a 5 minute ride to the central station.
I'd go for it if you made no plans that would cost you money if you couldn't make the connection... paid train ticket, deposit etc. Nothing like living on the edge!
I quite liked Pisa so I'd vote for a night there and then CT in the morning.

the GF and i are landing in pisa at 545, and decided to spend a night in pisa before training to CT for 2 nights the following morning.
still looking for a place to stay in Pisa, if anyone knows a place two people can lay their heads to rest for less than 75E...

We just got back from Italy and stayed one night in Pisa at "Hotel Milano." Ideal location. Very short walk from the Train Station. Also good bus or train connections from the airport to the central train stations. Very easy to get to CT from Pisa.
