Time needed to get luggage and thru customs in Rome

Arriving from Philadelphia at 9:15am how much time should I allow for Baggage Claim, and Customs at Rome Fiumicino Airport

In my experience, there's no way to accurately predict how long that will take as it will vary according to current conditions. On some trips I've been able to collect my luggage and get through Passport control in about 30 minutes and get to the airport rail station, while in other cases it's been almost two hours.

Is there a reason you're wondering about the time?
