We arrive in Rome FCO at 7:00am on Delta. I want to book a flight on Aitalia to Venice. How much time should I allow for customs and making our way through the airport?

Alitalia is a Delta partner. Is it possible to add the Rome-to-Venice leg to your existing ticket?

Follow Zoe's advice. Do it all in one ticket. Delta/Alitalia are both SkyTeam partners. Then don't worry about the time, if you miss the first connection they'll put you on the next plane.
