Looking for someone to give me an idea of how much time I should plan in Florence for a walk from our hotel Albani on via Flume to the Central market to stash up on some goodies to the Duomo for a morning climb up the dome and a relatively leisurely walk down via dei Calziuouli to the Uffizi (not going inside), across Ponte Vecchio, up to piazalle Michelangelo and San Miniato al Monte, and back.

The walk is maybe 40 min. (one way) at leisurely speed.
Buying goodies is a big question mark. Some people never make it out of the market once they start tasting and sampling. Lets say 30 min. If you resist the temptation. Going up and down the dome, including panorama watching, allow An extra one hour max. Its 463 steps, so 15 min are enough to go up. Visiting San Miniato, Porte Sante Cemetary, piazzale Michelangelo, take pictures, buy gelato, give it two hours. Walking back, maybe another 40 min or less, since its downhill.

You may want to take your shopping purchases back to your hotel rather than check them at the entrance to the Duomo (some things are not permitted inside).
