Time enough to get from Bologna to Milan airport on day of international flight

I have a flight leaving Milan's airport on Monday, April 20 at 2:15 p.m. (to the US). I'll be in Bologna on Sunday night. Will I have enough time to get between Bologna Centrale and the airport on the day of travel? And, if so, what train is recommended? There is a limited-stop high speed Frecciarossa train from Bologna to Milan Centrale, but I'm mostly concerned about trains not running on a schedule. It departs at 7:31 and arrives Milano Centrale at 8:50. I'd then need to hop a train to the airport.

Hi. If you had a morning flight. I would say it's risky. But with a 2:15 flight, 99% chance it would work fine. Even if you somehow missed the 7:50 train, you could buy a ticket for the 8:36 train and still get there in plenty of time. Once you get to Milano Centrale, there are several trains per hour to the airport. Common advice is to get to airport 3 hours ahead, but don't panic if you're not that early. We've flown out of Malpensa several times to US, and two hours ahead worked fine. Have a great trip!
