How long does it take to get from Terminal 5 (Delta) to terminal 1 (Alitaiia)? Is there a long walk? My scheduled arrival time from Atlanta is 8:35 am and departure time to Lamezia Terme is 10:30 am.

Richard, your Delta flight will actually ARRIVE at FCO at Terminal 3. Although Delta lists T5 as your arrival point, Terminal 5 at FCO is for departures only. Once you clear immigration, you can walk to the Alitalia gates. Since they use Terminal 1 as their primary terminal, many of their flights - especially domestic - depart from the A Gates. You can walk from T3 to the A gates "behind" security. It will take about 15 minutes. If your first plane is on-time, you should have no problems making this connection.
