Time allowance between arrival at Malpensa and departure for Venice St Lucia

We will arrive in Milan from JFK (Air Emirates, if it matters) on Thursday 13 Oct at 12:15, and plan to train to Venezia St Lucia station as soon thereafter as possible. I'd like to purchase tickets in advance, at least for the Milan Centrale-->Venezia St Lucia portion, but don't know how much time to allow between the plane landing and boarding a train at Malpensa? I pretty much travel carry-on only, but my husband checks a bag; we are late middle age, so don't run anywhere. Any estimates from experience (or other tips) would be very welcome. Thanks!

Layni,
Generally, it's not recommended to purchase advance train tickets for your day of arrival because there may be a number of unforeseen circumstances that may cause delay ( flight delay, going through passport control, baggage claims, etc.)

You can easily purchase your train tickets at the airport from an automated kiosk or from the agent at the train ticket counter.

You will want to take the Malpensa Express train from Malpensa to Milano Centrale. These trains run every 30 minutes & travel time is around 55 minutes.

Have a wonderful trip!
