TIM store at FCO Terminal 3?

Hi Everyone,
I will be flying into Rome's FCO Terminal 3 on 23 September at 18.00, next week with just carry-on luggage.

I would like to get a 30 day Tourist TIM SIM card for my unlocked iPad mini and unlocked iPhone at the airport.

From previous research on this site I understand there is a TIM store where the sales people speak English, near the exit to Terminal 3. I searched the FCO airport map and could only find a TIM and Vodafone store in Terminal 1, not Terminal 3.
I will also be taking the Leonardo Express train from Terminal 3 to Termini station which the map shows it is right outside terminal 3.

So I just need to know for someone who has been to FCO Terminal 3 recently that the TIM store is in Terminal 3, which seems to be on the way to the Leonard Express ticket machine. If there isn't a TIM store in Terminal 3 can I walk to Terminal 1 from Terminal 3 and do I need to go thru security etc.

I checked the TIM website but it didn't have an English language option. I understand that you can get a voucher now for the SIM card so anyone with this experience would also help.

Basically I am trying too make the arrival as smooth as possible. In the past countries I have visited some of the SIM card stores speak English and some don't. Just looking for an easy way to get the SIM cards and any recommendations are appreciated.
Thanks,
Liam

My recollection is that there isn't an actual TIM store on the Terminal 3 arrival concourse, but there is a stand where you can buy TIM services. I believe it's in the same area as the stands that sell bus tickets, so head towards the train station entrance and keep an eye out on your right.

Hi Liam,

I'm curious how you made out? I am passing through FCO on my way to Sicily next month and hope to pick up a SIM in the airport. thanks, Richard

Hi there,

It all worked out. It was in Terminal 3 and I walked right past TIM counter toward the information booth about 20 feet away. They just pointed when I asked. The voucher was great. They spoke very limited English and it was nice it was already paid for. Just gave the voucher to him and my phone, passport and that was it. No communication problem. He even installed the SIM card in my phone. Easy peasy!

I decided to get a SIM for my iPad from Vodafone a couple days later in Rome at Termini station in Rome and it was tough with very limited Italian language skills. It was nice to have two different companies for driving/ navigating thru Tuscany but for the most part TIM is the way to go. Never let me down. It worked well from Amalfi Coast, Rome, Sicily, Cinque Terre, Tuscany.
Hope that helps,

Liam

Hi Liam,

I am curious if this TIM counter is near the baggage claim area of Terminal 3. Here is a link with a picture that I found on the rome airport site: http://tinyurl.com/y4ptefpy

Also, some forums mention that is a re-seller for TIM and I wanted to double check if they will still issue a sim with the voucher?

Thanks!

Abhi

Yes, the TIM store is near the baggage pick up area and it is a company store not a reseller. I had no problem redeeming my voucher.

Just passed through two days ago. The TIM counter is not in the baggage area. Go beyond the carousels toward "B" gates (Terminal 1). As you pass toward T1 look to the right. Go to the main TIM counter, not a little counter across the way that I suspect is a reseller.
