TIM SIM card at Rome airport

I saw there were a few places at the airport to get a Sim card from TIM.
Any suggestions which is the best deal? I need an Italian phone number and Wi-Fi for three months.
Grazie!!!!

California:

It is on my agenda to buy the Rome TIM SIM for 30 Euros within the next few days. I plan to buy it online, but this is what I have so far discerned. There is a TIM reseller in one of the terminals; I do NOT plan to get my SIM card from them. I believe they charge an extra five Euros. But, there is a TIM store (not a reseller), somewhere between where the Hertz and Avis rental car sections of the airport are. This is where I hope to pick up my SIM.

For additional information, I believe I have read that the benefit of buying it online is that if you have problems, you may somehow get connected to an English-speaking operator; but if you buy in Rome and if you have issues, you may be working with an Italian speaking operator.

Let's see if RS Forum experts add to this post.

I should add that the small TIM Store is outside of the baggage claim area. I just re-read your post and realize that you need a SIM for three-months. I am buying something that will cover me for only 30 days; and my main interest is to have data. I will have wi-fi at my hotel; I really don't need a phone number; and have no intention of texting. I plan to use email.

Just so you know, I have read that texting may not be included in TIM SIM's so be careful -- if you are a big texter -- not to get caught up with running out of data from using texts.

Tim's offer for tourists does not include texts. Note that texts and chat messages are two different things: if you have data left, you can chat as long as you want.

Send more than a couple of texts abroad and sooner or later you'll block the SIM even if you have minutes and data left. If you need to send many texts add 10 euro of credit.

I've never heard about an English speaking call-center for those who pre-pay a SIM.

Re-sellers may ask € 5 more, but they'll be happy to install tim's app for you, block the VAS services and so on.

Thanks Dario.
I will have WhatsApp for texting to the US, but I do need text messages for my Italian friends from my new Italian phone number I will get it. I’ll ask the TIM people to make sure I can text to Italian phone numbers that are not on my ‎WhatsApp. Thanks for the heads up.
