Has anyone booked any tour with tickitaly.com?
I have never used them but just from looking at their website they charge a lot more for the same tours you can book yourself directly through the actual sites. You can book a two hour tour of the Vatican museums for 31 euros each or skip the line entry tickets for 15 euros each. Tickitaly is charging 41 euros for the tour and 25.50 for the entry tickets. For the underground tour of the colosseum it should only cost 21.50 and not the 37.50 they want to charge. I would suggest booking these types of tours yourself and saving money. If you want a tour of the city then you might want to book with this company but there really is no need to pay these extra costs. http://www.ticketclic.it/Gb/HTML/musei/colosseo.cfm This is the link for the colosseum tours. Just click on the collect onsite option, enter your dates and pick the time of your tour. They have not released any tours or tickets for September yet so you will need to keep checking for those dates. For the Vatican museums you can use: http://biglietteriamusei.vatican.va/musei/tickets/do?weblang=en&do There are several tours available as well as entry tickets. Donna
Thanks but I was looking at the one out of Florence to Siena, Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano. I didn't know if this was possible if I rented a car and the hassle of trying to find places to park the car and get into a winery or two.
I wish you had specified that in your question. You should be able to take a train to all of the cities listed with the possible exception on Montalcino. As for wineries, you can ask for specific suggestions here on the forums or you can visit the Florence forums on TA for suggestions. Donna
