Tickitaly

Hello, I am a little concerned. I recently booked a tour through tickitaly and didnt read any reviews first only to come online and see that many people have had issues with this company. Having said that, there are also a few posts where people have not, I suppose thats standard when you are a business. What concerns me though is that there is a distinct theme with the people who are unhappy, CC being compromised, arriving and tickets are invalid etc. I am a little concerned as I have booked tickets to the Last Supper viewing apparently whcih is an after hours viewing at 7.15pm. I am not so worried if people have bad things to say everyone has different experiences with places, I guess I just want to check whether this is a legitimate company full stop and if the church/museum where the last supper is displayed does actually run after hours viewings with tour operators, because on no other site have I read this. I am concerned that as a result I will show up and noone will be there, whcih appears to be the case with a few other people who have booked through this company.

We booked Last Supper tickets with Tickitaly last year and had no problems. We had an afternoon time however, so I can't address anything about after hours viewing. Good luck, hope you get to see it!

I've booked with TickItaly several times with no issues at all. That said, I believe TickItaly is the VENDOR/BOOKING AGENT/INTERMEDIARY and not the actual TOUR OPERATOR who would actually provide the tour, so there is a difference. They will book the tour and send you a confirmation, but that is pretty much as far as their involvement would go. If TickItaly were to have repeated problems with a TO whose tours they sell, they would probably switch operators. It may not have been in time for those other people. And the Last Supper is known to have occasional unexpected closings (so that is no one's fault, really). Bear in mind, also, that some tours require REconfirmation 24-48 hours in advance to ensure they are still running. Perhaps they will only run the tour with "x" number of people, and if you are the only one to book it that day, they may opt to cancel and refund your money....but how would you know if you didn't follow through with the reconfirmation process? So it is entirely possible that the unhappy people in the reviews you read simply didn't follow through on something they were supposed to do (not knowing the tour or online reviews you are speaking of, it is only a guess) and suffered the consequences. I wouldn't worry.

Used Tickitaly for tickets to the Last Supper and for the underground tour of the Colosseum last month and had no problems.
