I am not sure when friends will meet up with us in Rome.mid September. Can we get skip the line tickets to the Vatican Museum the same day or 1 day advance? I do not want to be shut out. We have an evening tour of Sistine chapel set. Thank you.

I'm guessing that's a Friday night? Just curious as the Friday late openings usually include key parts of the museums that are also open on those evenings. Are you sure you want to do it twice? Sorry, can't help you with same-day or 1 day advance tickets but I wouldn't be hopeful about that. It doesn't mean you'd be "shut out" but you might have to stand in a very loooong ticket queue on the day you wish to go.
