I will be there on Saturday July 6. I wanted to purchase tickets, I went on the official site for b tickets. The only option for the tickets was a pick up on site. Is there a long line to get tickets?is there an eticket available? Is that considered a skip the line ticket when I purchase a specific time?

I don't know about July. I was there in May and there was a very short line to get tickets, but another line to get in with your ticket.
But what I really want to tell you is, your ticket to Boboli Gardens is also a ticket to Bardini Gardens, which I highly recommend. It's much smaller than Boboli Gardens, but really well kept and interesting, with great views of the city below.

You will receive a confirmation email, do not throw it away.
Print out the confirmation email and bring it to the ticket office, where it will be exchanged for an entrance ticket.
Skip the line to enter the museum. With your ticket you can now enter the museum skipping the line through the fast track lane.

There are 2 ticket windows at the Pitti Palace, one for walk-up purchases and one for reserved tickets. If you need to pick up tickets, you would do so at the reserved ticket window. There are also two other entrances for the Boboli Gardens further down Via Romana. Maybe you could pick up your tickets at one of those locations, although I've never tried that.
