I have gone to the museum website a number of times and am unable to purchase tickets for the end of May with my credit card. After selecting my tickets and going through the process to purchase them, I am told there has been an error and to try back later. Is anyone else having this problem and how did you get around it? I also have tried Paypal, but using it is more expensive so I am trying to avoid using it.
You can call them direct and book a reservation on the phone , then use the Roma pass to collect the ticket when you are in Rome . I did this when last in Rome ( 2012 - going back this Autumn ) http://www.romapass.it/?l=en Also how much more expensive is it via paypal ? If it is a reasonable premium , why not put your mind to ease , and just bite the bullet
I called them. For tickets last summer ...
We too had to call, back in February for tickets in early May. We could not get the purchase to go through on the website. Oh, and Verizon charged us $17.00 for the call.
It's probably an issue with your card. If you are using a visa card it needs to have the "verified by visa" protocol enacted for the online purchase to go through. Call your credit card company and ask to speak to the verified rep. Only they can enact the protocol. Mastercard also has their own third layer protection service, you'll need to call them to have it enacted as well if using a Mastercard.
