Is it advisable to pre-purchase tickets for a tour of the Colosseum, or just buy it the day of? We have all of one day in Rome before we head to Tuscany, and want to visit the Colosseum (yes, I know, there is MUCH we are missing). Just not sure if we should purchase our tickets, and if so, where?

If you want to take the underground tour you should book it ahead of time since it's very popular and tends to sell out. You must book this tour by phone. You can book the tour and entry tickets at the same time for 22 euros each. The tickets will also allow you to visit the forum and palatine hill.
