Tickets for Uffizi and Accademia

I just purchased tickets for the Uffizi and Accademia for september and the tickets gave me a row number and seat number. I used the official website of Firenzemusei.it but I don't understand why I got Row and seat. Could it be that I sit in a large hall until my row is called?? Could someone enlighten me on this?

I bought academia tickets on line that we used in july.....there was no row and seat #involved (I turned in the paper I had printed off at a small walk up ticket office across the street and got my four tickets in exchange).....hopefully someone can give you the info you need here....or try the equivalent of customer service on the website.....

There is no row. There is no seat. There is no worry. It's just that the reservation service also handles performance events, for which there are rows and seats, so they are using that template.

I agree with the previous two posters. A year ago we bought tix for both those places online and I recall the format you are referring to. Print your tickets and go. You shouldn't have any problems.

Agree with both of the above: nothing to worry about.

@docmike1017 - Just did the EXACT same thing. Booked my tickets on the 11th! Both museums. For September too! My question is about turning in the print outs that I have for tickets. Do I have to stand in line to exchange for tickets? I thought that was the reason for buying ahead of time... to avoid the lines.
Thanks

pkerr, see my note above....there is a walk up window across the street....takes just a minute, my other three got in the line for prepaid tickets....I walked over and exchanged my print out for the tickets and came back. we were first in line when the doors opened at 8.30.....sweet!!!
