Tickets for Tourist Sites - Rome

Hi all -

I will be visiting Rome in May 2025 (yes, I know the jubilee is happening this year). I want to buy tickets to the Roman Forum, Colosseum, and Palatine Hill but it looks like the official site for those locations does not offer tickets beyond 1 month into the future. Is there another reliable site I can use to purchase tickets?

Here is the website that I have been trying to use: https://colosseo.it/

Thank you!

I would use the website. I got tickets to the attic at the Colosseum and it was great. I had to purchase the tickets a 2 AM in the morning exactly thirty days before you want to go.
We were in line and talked to a couple from Canada that tried to get tickets to the attic or undergroud and couldn't get them because she didn't know the trick of getting them.
I found if you really want to see the special sites like the Colosseum underground or the Ceremony of the Keys at the Tower of London one has to work for them. I have never found an easy way to get these. Unless you want to pay big bucks to a tour company.
Let me give you an example.
The Ceremony of the Keys at the Tower of London. You can pay a tour company $180 for a ticket or you can purchase the same thing from the Tower of London website and pay $5.
If you just want to get into the Colosseum that is easy. Thousands of tickets are available. But if you want the special areas you have to get them yourself and time.it perfectly.
One thing I should add is if you refresh your screen to often the system will think you're a robot and kick you out of the system. But it will let you back in when the next batch is released.
That is also something I didn't mention.they open tickets one half hour at a time. So they release 10 tickets to the attic at 9:00 am Rome time. Then thirty minutes later they release another 10 tickets. That is why it is so hard to get attic or underground tickets.

In addition to mbosteder's helpful advice, I might recommend spending the extra $ for a tour which includes the trio of Colosseum, Forum and Palatine. Unfortunately, Parco archeologico del Colosseo doesn't offer one of these so you'd need to book with an outside company but while the Colosseum is easily understood - after all, its design is still largely used in modern day arenas! - the Palatine and Forum benefit from an educated guide that can put what's left of them into context.

For sure, audioguides could be an economical replacement but may be less efficient, time-wise, plus you don't have the ability to ask questions as you go along. It's a bit of ground to cover; these combo tours run between 3 and 4 hours in length. If interested, ask about recommendations for companies other posters have used?
