Doing Italy tour 7-14-7-21-19 and want to visit Tivoli Gardens. I emailed villa d"este a Tivoli to get tickets and they told me to make a reservation with a school group which makes no sense. there are only 4 of us.. can I just get tickets through a website. Can I do it the same day or just show up .. any ideas?

We always just showed up. It is not timed entry. We also always went as early as possible, before the crowds build too much.

Easiest way to get there is take the train from Termini to Tivoli. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the station.

Agree with Philip. We always took the train. GPS on your phone would help with meandering through the town.
