Tickets for the Vatican museum.

We were planning to purchase tickets on line only a few days in avance for the week
of sept. 21-27, 2014.

If we do not have a printer available in Rome, is it possible?

When you book online for the Vatican museums using their website, you get an email confirmation called a Booking Voucher which needs to be printed out and presented at the ticket office. So I'm assuming you do not have access to a printer at a hotel or a friend's house. When we visited this past July, the people with reservations skipped the long lines and if I remember correctly, people had to present their printouts at the ticket office. The ticket office in turn issued tickets that lets you through the turnstiles. The voucher does have a number specific to your reservation. Perhaps you could give the ticket office that? Or maybe it is possible to show them your smartphone and show them the email or possibly the QR code on the email which they can scan. I hope this helps...

Please be aware, I learned earlier this week that September27 is "World Tourism Day" and there will be no skipping the lines at the Vatican as all admissions are free on that day.

I just booked Friday night 9/26 at the Vatican since I too learned 9/27 is a free day and so is the last Sunday of the month. Think those 2 days will be crazy busy there!

You dont need to have a print out. Just bring the email confirmation on your phone and you'll be fine.
