Do these need to be purchased in advance and is there any benefit of doing so?
I am booking the vaparetto pass with venice connected and wondering if I should add the st marks museum pass...or should I book another way or wait until I arrive?
bluedenim,
I obtained a ticket for the Doge's Palace at the main entrance. I made sure that I was there right at opening time (to avoid the crowds) and was inside within five minutes.
I haven't used the St. Mark's Museum Pass, so can't comment on that?
Cheers!
I don't think you need to purchase your tkts. in advance for the Doges Palace. I was just there for a week in July and we purchased the San Marco Museum Plus Pass, according to R.S. book sold from April through October. This pass can be purchased at several lesser sites and you can bypass the line at the Doges. Besides the Doges Palace this pass includes the 2 museums at the Correr Museum and your choice of one of 7 museums, one of which is Ca'Rezzonico, where we also purchased our tickets. After Ca'Rezzonico we went to the Doges late afternoon and it was great--got right in and no crowds. If you have any students in your group, make sure they bring student i.d. as they get in for half the price.
Hello neighbor! Last year, the Secret Itineraries Tour was 16 Euros for adults and 10 for our teenaged kids, through teleart. For information on exactly what it entails, just google it, and you'll get a much better description than I can possibly provide.
Have a great trip!
No need unless you want to take the Secret Itineraries Tour. That sells out, needs to be reserved.
I would HIGHLY recommend the Secret Itineraries Tour. We found it fascinating, and you get to see so much more of the Palace.
Hello Leslie, my neighbor(i live in marlborough, How much does the extra tour cost and what does it include? I am going to Venice for the first time in april.
