Tickets for Academia

From what I've read, there is a much bigger fee for using online website. My hotel is going to make reservation for us and all we need to do is to show up 30 minutes early to pay for our tickets. The reservation fee is 2 EUR (charged by the gallery, not the hotel).

And absolutely make a reservation or you will wait in a long line. We were there at 9AM and waited 1 & 1/2 hours. Or if you buy a Firenze card, you will wait maybe 15 min.

Or just show up an hour before closing. There won't be a line; you can practically just walk in. The whole museum can be thoroughly seen in less than an hour.

Maybe we just got lucky but we showed up about 20 mins before opening and only had a few people in front of us. We were in 5 mins after opening and no line when we came out an hour or so later.
